| Pavement Work Requires Closures on Interstate 85/40 in Alamance County BURLINGTON – Due to holiday lane closure restrictions, N.C. Department of Transportation crews will resume ongoing work, to repair and replace pavement markings and lines along a section of Interstate 85/40 just south of University Drive and north of N.C. 54 in Alamance County. Drivers will experience alternating lane closures between mile markers 138 and 150 in both directions from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, through Sunday, Jan. 14, weather permitting.
